ORDER: Before the Court are Defendant Leonel Michael Vargas's unopposed Motion for Extension of Time to File, ECF No. 36 , which the court construes as a motion to continue, and a related Motion to Expedite, ECF No. 37 . Defense counsel seeks a 90-day continuance of the pretrial motions filing deadline, the pretrial conference, and the trial, and he represents that the U.S. Attorney's Office does not object to the requested continuance. On June 13, 2013, the Court granted an extension of its prior Order directing counsel to confer and file proposed case management deadlines; the parties' joint status report is due June 19, 2013. Having reviewed the pleadings filed in connection with Defendants' motions, the Court is inclined to grant the requested continuance if defense counsel promptly files a statement of reasons, signed by Defendant, in support of the requested continuance.
